New Year, New Blog Name

new-year-new-blog-name

I know I’ve been MIA on the blog for like a week now. It totally hasn’t been by choice. I’ve been having some major blogging withdrawals as I’ve been going through the hassle of changing my domain name. Let’s just say switching your blog’s domain name is no easy task.

When I originally started my blog, Life In ATX, I had no idea where it would go. I had just moved to Austin and wanted to blog about my experience in this great city. I was hesitant about sharing my personal life and style, so I thought I would just write about Austin in general. Well, that got old, the content was boring, and my blog wasn’t really following my life. I was stuck.

I found that I was more interested in sharing my personal style, pregnancy journey, and my transition into motherhood. When I wrote about what I was going through and what felt true to me, things instantly fell into place and my blog grew a lot. Totally makes sense, right?

I have been wanting to change my blog’s name for awhile now . When I was trying to think of a new name Life By Lee came to me right away. It’s kind of funny because a lot of people don’t know that my first name is actually Lee. My name is exactly as it looks Lee Anne. First name Lee, middle name Anne. I go by either Lee or Lee Anne. Hilarious side note: When I was in cheerleading freshman year of high school they printed a t-shirt with my name as Lee Anne Anne on it. Seriously people? You would really think my name was Lee Anne Anne? LOL!

Please follow along at my new domain, LifeByLee.com where all of my blogging will take place from here on out!

P.S. I hope you like the new name and thanks for your continued support!

xo

But yeah big hassle to change and I am not techy at all, so that means double headache for me..ha….Mine is unique though and I think it catches people’s eye ..

Happy new year, all the best with your rebranding! I am actually off to TX on Monday for the Dallas Fashion Market! First time and excited!

I like the new blog name and your good reasons behind it. I can see where you would feel pigeon holed just writing about a specific city. Great story about the name- made me laugh. Cheers!

      Haha thanks Jennifer!

Heck yeah girl! I know this familar post. I had all sorts of blog names and I couldn’t really adjust…I kept molding myself to those names…until well, I finally happily and joyfully settled with “Chiara Marie”. My name is unique in itself, I should use it! So I rebranded and relaunched I my blog last year in July so i know what you mean. New year..new you. And you are a fellow Texan 😉 Hugs from Dallas, TX!

I am a new follower but I just that you decided to rename your blog to something that mad you feel more inspired and excited. Coming up with a blog name is literally the hardest thing.

Congratulations on the blog name change and rebranding! I went through that a few years ago and it feels great when you know it’s the right thing to do (even with all of the possible headaches that might initially come with the name change! 😉

The name change is so great! I love the old one too but I think it’s really exciting you have outgrown the old and have transitioned into something that works well for you.

Congrats on the new name and look! It’s so nice and clean around here.

I’m glad that you shared why you decided to change your domain name, and I think that it makes PERFECT sense! I think for most people that when they start out, they aren’t really sure where their blog will go, and it just grows into something you never really imagined. Any who…I LOVE the name change!!

PS. I did not know that your first name was Lee. Cute!

Love the new blog name! It’s always good to start fresh and it’s crazy how much the brand matters! I think about it often, like if I should have my name, or blog on there…..

    Great work, babe!
