Transitioning To A Big Boy Room Part #2

Big Boy Room WalmartHappy Friday! Who’s ready for the weekend? I’m ready for some family time & relaxing! Noah’s ready to chill out in his new big boy room, ha! Actually, who are we kidding? He is always chilling out in his new big boy room. Today I’m sharing part 2 of Noah’s bedroom makeover with Walmart. If you missed part 1, you can find that post HERE.

When we added the two storage cubes, we had to get rid of Noah’s huge old dresser and his glider. The dresser was from the “baby” days and had a huge changing table. We just didn’t really need that type of dresser anymore, and it was taking up so much space. Now we can use that wall to store all of his toys & make it more of a “usable” space.

Big Boy Room WalmartI also wanted to move his legos upstairs, so that Emma wasn’t around them. He’s really getting into them lately, and I found this adorable lego table on Walmart’s website! I am in love with it! You can easily lift the top part, and use it for lego storage underneath. You can also flip the top over and have a plain playing surface if you don’t want to use it for legos. The price was great, and it was actually really easy to put together.

Big Boy Room WalmartWe wanted to find a dresser that was less heavy, took up less space, and wasn’t so bulky. We loved this sleek & modern one. It matches everything in his room and kind of has that Scandinavian vibe I was going for in his room. They also have one that has 6 drawers that would be perfect for a changing table on top if you’re looking for one with this same design for a nursery.

We still need to get some decor pieces or something on top of his new dresser. It’s a little bare on that side of his room right now, but it’s a work in progress. He’s been obsessed with wall decals so he has some Disney Cars and Doc McStuffins ones right next to his bed by his pillows. It’s pretty dang adorable.

Big Boy Room WalmartI love that he’s been wanting to spend more time in his room now that we added these pieces. I feel like it makes him feel special & that he has his own little space where he can keep his special toys that he doesn’t always want to share with Emma. And… I can’t believe we found everything at Walmart. You seriously need to check out their kids room & nursery stuff. It’s SO good right now!
