Summer Essentials and Big Balloons
Happy Monday loves! Recently I had the opportunity to shoot with The Balloon Bar, and some other Austin bloggers. It was so much fun. I have been wanting to share a post here on the blog talking about my summer essentials for awhile now, so I figured what better time than now. Especially with some amazing balloon pictures to look at while reading & shopping!
I thought I would break this post into three sections- makeup, hair, and sunglasses; and share my summer essentials for each. You can also shop all three of our looks from this photo shoot below so don’t worry about that girl! The funny thing is we didn’t even plan on matching, and it just magically worked out!
When it comes to summer beauty & makeup I’m all about keeping it simple, bronzed, and glowy. Some of my must haves for summer beauty and that I used when getting ready for this photo shoot are a tinted moisturizer, primer, foundation, bronzer, blush, mascara, eyeliner, and eyeshadow. I’ve been obsessing with Tarte Cosmetics for all of my face products lately!
MY SUMMER MAKEUP ESSENTIALS:
For my hair I kept it pretty simple for this shoot and just added a little volume and loose waves. Most summer days I’m rocking second day hair. For those days I’m in dire need of dry shampoo, and a side braid. I like to tease the crown of my head to give the look a little somethin, somethin! The salon I go to in Austin uses Living Proof products, so I’ve become quite the fan!
MY SUMMER HAIR ESSENTIALS:
When it comes to summer, sunglasses are a total necessity. I’m a huge fan of mirrored sunglasses lately. All three of us packed mirror sunnies for the shoot without even coordinating, so you know their good, ha! They looked great with our bright outfits. I’ve linked my exact pair from Kapten and Son below, and am also sharing some of my other favorites with you!
