Snapchat Tips for Bloggers

Snapchat Tips for Bloggers by Austin blogger Life By LeeSo I have a new social media love affair going on, and it’s with Snapchat. Over the last few weeks I’ve really tried to dive into the app and learn the ins and outs. I’ve also been doing some research on how other bloggers are using it. Right now is a great time to jump on the Snapchat wagon and grow your following. It’s really increasing in popularity, and I can totally see why. It’s so addicting!

Here are some Snapchat tips that I’ve learned so far.  Feel free to leave more Snapchat tips in the comments. I love learning from you guys!

  1. If you’re looking to grow your Snapchat following you need to let everyone know what your username is. Shout it from the rooftops. Tell your friends & family first, and then dive into your social media circle. Tell everyone how obsessed you are with it and how much fun you’re having. It really is pretty dang fun. I mean… those funny filters… who wouldn’t love those?
  2. Pick your most popular social platform and start talking about Snapchat on it. For example for me, Instagram is my most popular social platform. For example if you’re on a trip and you post a photo of the hotel on Instagram, make sure to tell your followers to add you on Snapchat to see more behind the scenes stuff. Make sure to provide your Snapchat username in the comment so they can easily add you.
  3. Interact with your Snapchat friends! Ask questions & chat with them using the chat feature. You can also do a little Snapchat Q&A where you answer questions that your Snapchat friends may have.
  4. Snap often, but don’t snap everything. You’ll want to think about Snapchat as a marketing platform. Make sure you are snapping often, but also think about the message you are sending.
  5. Snap something informational or helpful. Cooking a delicious soup? Share the process with your Snapchat friends. Decorating your bedroom? Snap before and after pictures. I always love watching these types of snaps and it keeps me coming back for more.

I’m reading about Snapchat here an there often – it looks like it really gains popularity. I’ve tried it for a while, but I’m not sure it suits me – maybe I’m getting too old 😀 I might give it another shot in the future though, so thank you for sharing your tips!

Love these tips! I’ve WANTED to pick up snapchat for a while now, but wasn’t really sure what I’d use it for. Love the idea of Q&A with followers 😀

A few months ago a blogger friend encouraged me to join snapchat, and I’m still getting the hang of it. It’s so different, but I have to admit that it’s a little liberating that the posts disappear in 24 hrs 🙂 I’m a food blogger, so I could definitely use my snapchat posts for “how-to’s”. Thanks for the tips!

Love this! I’m such a fan of snapchat. It’s my absolute favorite platform right now simply because of how personal you can make it. There are definitely some people who take that personal touch a little too far but overall it’s been nothing but a ton of fun. Thanks for sharing these tips on how to grow my following. Speaking of sharing your username everywhere, if you’re about following more people, I’m @dannie54 and would love to interact!

Snapchat releases new updates and features very frequently. As Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp ruthlessly exploit their clones of Stories, it’s the more private, close friends features like this and ephemeral messaging that are Snapchat’s best shot at staying relevant.|According to WABetaInfo report, a blog that tracks WhatsApp developments, the Facebook-owned social messaging app is currently working on Battery Saver settings before enabling the Dark Theme. Now, tap on the Dark mode” button to turn it on. If you want to disable the feature, you can tap on the icon again.|Back in September 2018, reputable outlet WABetaInfo announced WhatsApp was working on a dark mode. On Android , open the Gmail app and tap menu, then Settings. It comes just years after Snapchat released a redesign that went down very badly with users, due to the lack of testing.
