How Dylan and I are Celebrating Valentine’s Day

valentine's day As you may have read about in Friday’s blog post HERE, Dylan and I like to keep things low key on Valentine’s Day. I was so in love with the post he wrote; it literally made me cry! Anyway, before I get all sappy again…  Typically on Valentine’s Day the restaurants are always way too crowded, so we usually plan something fun to do at home.

We are big fans of steak, so the past few years we go to the grocery store, pick up some amazing steaks, and take them home and cook them. We usually look up some new delicious side dish to pair it with as well. Another thing I love to do after we cook dinner is watch a totally cheesy romantic comedy. I always win on the movie selection on Valentine’s Day, so I get pretty pumped about it!  We aren’t huge on spending a ton of money on gifts for Valentine’s Day, so we usually do something pretty small, and it almost always involves chocolate.

This year for Valentine’s Day I had the opportunity to partner with merci Chocolates. I was so excited because I knew that their delicious chocolates would be a perfect gift for Dylan. He is a major sweet tooth! He was pretty lucky because he got his gift a couple of days early, so we’ve been eating our fair share of chocolate over the past couple of days. Have you guys tried out their chocolates yet? Be careful, they are SO addicting. I literally walk into the pantry multiple times a day to grab a new piece!

How are you celebrating Valentine’s Day this year? Feel free to share in the comments below! Thanks so much for stopping by today friends, and I hope that your Valentine’s Day is full of love and happiness!

XO,

Lee Anne

A big thanks to Merci Chocolates for sponsoring this post. All thoughts & opinions are my own.

Omg! Those chocolates look amazing! I def need those 🙂 We are not big on Valentine’s Day, so we celebrate it for our 2 girls but nothing fancy. Although, if the hubby gets me a gift, I won’t turn it down lol.

Those look delicious! I think European chocolates taste the best and I assume these are no exception. I am like you though where a low-key Valentines day is the way to go.
