Favorite Places to Stroll in Austin, Texas
One of my favorite things to do in Austin is go downtown with Dylan and Noah and just hang out. We used to live right in the center of downtown so walking around was something we did on the regular. On Saturday’s we like to pack up Noah’s diaper bag, snacks for him, a change of clothes, his shoes, and his stroller and head downtown.
I’ve tried out a few strollers with Noah, and one of the key components that makes a good stroller in my opinion is how heavy it is. I’m all about light weight strollers! Bonus points if they don’t take up a bunch of room in your trunk! The Baby Jogger City Tour fits both of those requirements! It actually packs up smaller than any stroller I’ve seen, which is so perfect for travel. It’s definitely our new go-to airport stroller!
If you happen to be in Austin, here are my top 3 favorite places to stroll with baby in tow!
- Town Lake Trail – This is a given! The trail around town lake is one of my favorite places to walk in Austin. It’s the perfect mix of nature and city, and also the perfect place for fitness inspo. The moms on that trail are in mad shape I tell ya!
- Seaholm District- This is a new favorite, and where we shot these photos with Noah. I’m obsessed with this new area. It probably has a lot to do with the fact that there is a Trader Joes & a True Food Kitchen right in the middle of it.
- Whole Foods/West 6th- We used to live right by this area, so I have a major soft spot for it. I love strolling Noah to Whole Foods, and then also the surrounding areas. We like to grab snacks at Whole Foods and sit on the roof top so Noah can play on the playground they have up there. There’s a great little park near 9th and West Ave, and I also like browsing at Anthropologie and Book People when I’m in the area!
