Family Trip to JW Marriott in San Antonio, Texas
Happy Wednesday friends! I’m so excited for today’s post because I’m sharing our first ever vlog with you guys! I’ve been thinking about starting a youtube channel for years, but was hesitant. I know how much work goes into creating video content, and my plate is pretty full with with blog & social content. Scroll to the bottom to see the video!
A couple months ago Dylan and I purchased a new camera for vlogging. We decided it was a good time to jump in with both feet and give it a try. Although Dylan is busy working with developers for his new company and raising capital, he loves the blogging world, and wanted to learn more about video content. I’m lucky to have such a supportive husband who is interested in this this whole world as much as I am!
Please let me know what you think about the video in the comments. I would also LOVE if you would subscribe to our channel. That way when we make our next video you will be notified when it’s live! Obviously we were a little nervous, so that will ease up over time. Vlogging can be so strange, but it’s actually really fun. Either way, I’m really excited to have these memories of our family for years to come!
We drove down to San Antonio on Labor Day, and checked into the JW Marriott. Our ride was super comfy thanks to the Lexus RX 350. We are truly enjoying being Lexus of Austin Brand Ambassadors. This car is perfect for family getaways!
Most of the resort guests were checking out as we were checking in. The resort is GORGEOUS! I would definitely consider it a destination resort. You really don’t need to leave the property once you show up. They have everything you need right there.
The resort is amazing for kids, but also for adults. Although they make it “kid-friendly” there is still a very laid back and luxurious vibe about the property. If you want to get away from kids all together the spa has a private no-kids pool which is great for relaxing. Honestly the entire place was great for relaxing!
It’s also great for fun. The resort has a bunch of water slides and a lazy river! We were tag teaming being the “parent-on-duty” so the other one could go down the water slides. It was so much fun. One of my favorite things about the resort was the kiddie pool with a large sand area. It literally felt like we were at the beach in the middle of San Antonio. Noah played there for hours. He hasn’t been to the ocean yet, so this was really cool for him.
The resort restaurants are amazing. Each restaurant has it’s own vibe, and decor. My favorite was Cibolo Moon. The breakfast buffet every morning was so delicious! At night they serve Tex-Mex and specialize in tequilas. We got to sample an amazingly delicious spicy strawberry margarita. They infuse their own tequila, and it was so good!
I can see our family coming back to this resort for years to come. It’s an incredible place for a family vacation, and it was really not far from Austin at all. I’m already planning when we can go back during the winter months. I would love to experience the resort during that time of the year!
Thanks so much for stopping by friends and let me know what you think about the video!
