My Pregnancy Workout Routine

My Pregnancy Workout Routine by Austin blogger Life By Lee My Pregnancy Workout Routine by Austin blogger Life By Lee My Pregnancy Workout Routine by Austin blogger Life By Lee My Pregnancy Workout Routine by Austin blogger Life By Lee My Pregnancy Workout Routine by Austin blogger Life By LeeLet’s preface this post by saying, I’m by no means a symbol of workout perfection. The title may be somewhat misleading, because I wouldn’t consider what I’m doing a routine. So if you came here for a legitimate routine, sorry you’ve got the wrong pregnant gal.  I wish I was into more of a pregnancy workout routine, but that’s just life right now, and I’m doing what I can. That being said, staying healthy, eating good food, and remaining active during pregnancy are always a priority on my list.

Today I’m excited to partner with Maidenform to share my pregnancy workout routine & chat about their amazing bras with you guys. First of all we all know that “the ladies” grow quite a bit during pregnancy, so they need extra support. It can be super hard to find a supportive bra that you can wear while working out, and I hate feeling “smashed” lol, so the style I’m featuring today is perfect. It provides shape, support, and is super comfy. I actually wear it when I’m not working out too.

If I’m having a good day, and I have the time, I’ll sneak in a quick little work out at home. Usually that involves Noah’s nap time, a Youtube video (I’m a big fan of prenatal yoga & all of the Tone It Up workout videos), and some free weights. I keep it pretty simple, but I like to get a sweat in when I can. When I have to get work done during Noah’s nap time, I make sure to get in a walk after he wakes up. I’ll take Noah to the park, and bring the stroller for walking around my neighborhood afterwards.

I walked so much more during my first pregnancy, because we lived downtown. Now that we live further out I’ve been forcing myself to get out for a neighborhood walk when I can. Unfortunately I’m a lot busier this pregnancy than I was during my last pregnancy, so my pregnancy workout routine can fall to the back burner. Let’s all just take a moment and be thankful for breastfeeding. Totally the fastest way to lose baby weight, lol.

A big part of staying healthy for me during pregnancy is the foods I eat. When at home I generally eat pretty healthy. My husband is a health nut, so this helps keep me in check. If you guys would be interested in learning more about the recipes I’ve been making, or what a typical meal plan looks like for me during the day let me know. I’m not super restrictive, and there’s nothing in general that I just won’t allow myself, but I’m continuously trying to make healthier decisions when it comes to food, even though I totally made pancakes for dinner last night. It’s all about moderation my friends!

Ugh, I’m nusing, and planning a second baby sooner rather than later, and the ladies are such a challenge! I worked out hard core before I got pregnant, and I miss it. But the thought of jogging with this situation – shudder. It was bad enough before they grew to the size of the moon. So I appreciate this post! 🙂
