Back To School Memories

Happy Wednesday friends! I’m so excited to be partnering with Shoe Carnival today to share my picks for back to school shoes! I’ll always remember back to school shopping as a happy time. When I was younger my mom would make a big deal out of it. She would take each of us kids separately so we got our own special day. We would make a day of it, go to lunch together, and have a lot of fun. Maybe it’s because I’ve always loved clothes, but it was always one of my favorite days with my mom. It might have also been because we would always go to my favorite mexican restaurant for lunch. I’ve been a chips & salsa girl since birth, ha!

I remember my sister and I would literally end up picking out some of the exact same clothes even though we shopped separately. It still cracks me up to this day thinking of the time we showed each other what we picked out, and half of it was the same stuff! We went shopping at a massive mall, yet still managed to pick the same stores.

I used to love picking out my outfits for the first week of school. I would literally lay them all out and plan ahead. Maybe I should have been fashion blogging at the age of 12? Ha! I also remember going to Shoe Carnival with my mom and picking out shoes. I always knew exactly what kind of shoes I wanted, and I loved how fun it was to shop there. I remember the massive wheel, and how they made shoe shopping such a fun experience.

Shopping for Noah and I was just as fun as when I was younger. He is obsessed with shoes. One of his favorite things to do is put on my shoes & walk around in them. He knows that when he’s putting on his shoes that something fun is about to happen. The selection at Shoe Carnival was great for him, and the prices were awesome. I love the Vans I picked for him. They are so cute and comfortable for him, and the velcro is perfect for quickly slipping them on, and heading out the door. I choose a pair of Keds for myself because they are casual, yet cute. I love the burgundy color; so perfect for Fall. I had no idea Keds came in so many styles & colors, so I was really pumped when I found this pair.

What are your favorite stores to shop at for back to school? Do you have any special back to school memories from your childhood?

I love y’all’s shoes! Your little man is too cute! Hampton is starting Mother’s Morning Out in a couple of weeks and so all this “back-to-school” talk is pulling my heart strings.
