At Home Date Night

at home date nightSince having Noah, most of our evenings are spent at home. He is a big fan of an early bed time, and it’s nice to have some adult time after we put him to bed. Lately he’s been going to bed around 6:30 every night. So essentially from 6:30 pm on we are stuck in the house.

We’ve been consciously trying not to do that, but it’s hard to not get sucked back into work after the house is finally quiet.  Some nights we workout, watch a movie, or just straight up binge on Netflix and whatever delicious food happens to be in the fridge.

at home date nightThis past weekend I partnered with Thumbtack and hosted a fun double date night at home. Thumbtack recently launched in Austin, and it’s an amazing website to go to if you need to get something done. You can hire a personal trainer, book a massage, learn a new language, or even hire someone to come landscape your yard. I decided to hire a personal chef to come to our house to cook for our double date night, and it was incredible!

She arrived on time, was super sweet, and made the most delicious meal. For the appetizer we had polenta cakes. For the main course we had a filet, mashed potatoes, and roasted asparagus. We finished everything off with a mouth watering chocolate tarte. Everything was so delicious, and it was so much fun to have someone cook for us! It was definitely not your normal evening at the Benjamin household!

Alright friends, it’s time for me to sign off and take the little guy out to the park. We are so happy to be back at home after a long weekend away!

As always, thanks so much for stopping by!
