Saving Time As A Busy Mom

saving time as a busy mom saving time as a busy mom saving time as a busy mom saving time as a busy mom The busier I get the harder it is for me to keep up with the everyday house chores. As a busy mom who spends a lot of time balancing work, and spending time with Noah, the last thing I want to do is spend time running to the grocery store after a photo shoot or a coffee shop work session. I want to get home to Noah as quickly as I can! Enter Shipt.

You guys I couldn’t be more excited for a brand to launch in Austin. The fact that I can get groceries delivered from my two favorite Austin grocers (HEB & Central Market) all from the comfort of my couch or anywhere that I have my cell phone is insanely amazing. I was so excited when Shipt contacted me about partnering together to share my experience with you guys.

Shipt officially launched in Austin a few weeks ago, and I’ve been hooked. I’ve used them multiple times already. On Wednesday my sister comes over to watch Noah for the day while Dylan and I leave to get work done. This Wednesday I woke up and realized I had barely any food in the fridge for her or Noah to eat that day. I propped open my laptop and went right to Shipt’s website. My recent order was already saved into the system so I just added the essentials that I always pick up for Noah, a few items for my sister, and a couple items for dinner. The groceries were delivered to my house an hour later. I was able to get ready for my day while someone else did the grocery shopping (a total miracle in my opinion).

I’ve found that it’s easiest to make two lists when it comes to grocery shopping. One is a weekly list of items we constantly re-order, and one is a monthly list of items that we usually order in larger quantities once a month.

Things that are always on my weekly list are things like fruits, veggies, eggs, milk, english muffins, yogurt, pouches for Noah, chicken, ground beef or turkey, etc. Basically anything that is fresh and keeps for about a week. When I place a monthly oder I order things like canned beans, chicken or beef broth, quinoa, coffee, canned tomatoes, diapers, baby wipes, paper towels, toilet paper, etc. I usually keep these lists in a kitchen drawer so I can quickly reference them when shopping.

If you live in Austin, and haven’t checked out Shipt, hop on it. Their delivery zone is HUGE. You can simply type in your zipcode on the website, and it will let you know if you’re covered. It’s one of the biggest delivery zones I’ve ever seen, so it’s pretty amazing!

I would love to hear if you guys have tried it out or are planning on trying it out in the upcoming weeks. Let me about your experience, and better yet… what you order. I’m always really intrigued by the groceries in other people’s carts for some reason, haha! Is it just me?

Thanks so much for stopping by friends, and have an awesome day!

One of the grocery stores delivers around here now. Wouldn’t do me any good, I live out in the country. I go to the store once a month.

Is this company only available in Austin? Regardless, it sounds perfect for new moms! Thankfully I have my husband to help out quite a bit and staying home with my son has its perks, but having any kind of delivery service is a MUST for any parent! Will have to check this out – thanks for sharing! Stopping by from Blog Society!
